Without a doubt, our team of volunteers is our most important asset.  We are a totally volunteer nonprofit grassroots organization, so every aspect of our operation is performed by a volunteer.  Because of this, we can offer a wide variety of service opportunities.  No matter what your interests are or whatever skills you have, there is probably a satisfying job waiting for you.  This is also a chance for you to try something different, network in the community, make new friends, and become part of team.

How much time is required?

That is totally up to you.  Based on your availability and interests, you will select your own level of involvement.  Whatever time you can spend with us will help and will be appreciated.

What kinds of things will I be doing?

There are numerous tasks that need to be done throughout the entire year. Some are behind-the-scenes support of the events. These jobs include:

  • Decorating toy collection boxes
  • Distributing toy drive boxes to local collection locations
  • Picking up the toys that have been donated
  • Sorting through toys at our toy warehouse
  • Distributing Toy Drive posters
  • Finding groups or companies willing to conduct toy drives for us
  • Driving our truck
  • Shopping for toys with the donations we receive
  • Data entry
  • Graphics art

Other jobs require direct involvement at the events. These include:

  • Loading and unloading the truck
  • Setting-up and packing the activity areas
  • Being a Curator at the Santa Claus Museum
  • Helping children with arts and crafts
  • Reading to the children
  • Assisting children in selecting a toy
  • Leading the singing in the karaoke area
  • Helping take pictures of children with Santa

Regardless, you get to choose where you will work and what you will be doing.  We want this to be fun for you and not stressful.  You are in complete control.  Each event has experienced staff present to guide you, answer your questions, and provide whatever support you need.  You are not in this alone; you are part of a team.
